And it worked! Then I reinstalled AVG, and once again the engine won't start.įINAL UPDATE: After reading the fix for those with Avast, I looked into the AVG settings and they have a similar option. So I uninstalled Bluestacks, rebooted, and did a fresh install. After uninstalling AVG and retrying Bluestacks, the engine would not start. I guess I'll go thru the registry and delete any remnants of AVG that may still be there. I did just update my virus definitions last night, so I have a feeling that AVG still has something to do with this problem that began this morning. I do not have Avast, but after seeing other's problems with it, I decided to uninstall AVG. I've tried the switch from OpenGL to DirectX (no fix) and I've gone into my BIOS to check Intel Virtualization Technology, which was already enabled.
